Getting Over Illness Stamp

Description

If I could "just get over" my anxiety or bipolar disorder, don't you think I would have already? They're not doing me any favors. I've had people tell me that I just need to 'get over' my anxiety and Avoidant PD and start dealing with people.
Yeah, cool, I'll do that. Except for the whole dehabilitating panic attacks thing and ensuing panic attacks when returning to the situations that caused the first one...

Don't tell people to "get over it" if they have a mental illness. It doesn't work like that.

Should you let it rule your life and use it as an excuse for everything? No. But can you just "get over it" and start living problem-free? Not really.
Besides, do you really think you're the first person who came up with the idea of asking someone to "just get over it"?

the worst part about this stamp is its even more relevant than ever, people in the comments expressing how this VERY thing has been said to them for their own mental health struggles and battles is sickening(I've even had family imply this to me, thinking taking pills would solve the issue or mask it.). i hope everyone who's had to deal with this specific thing said to them is in a better situation, nobody deserves to have their mental health experiences or mental illnesses be downplayed or considered "lesser".

also to any wise asses who wanna argue about how people should just "get over it", i legit dare you to tell that to someone with cancer, AID's(or HIV), is physically disabled, someone with severe allergies, someone with Autism or ADHD or someone with genetic disorders, etc. i'd imagine they'd beat you senseless if it were legal, if you aren't gonna undermine someone struggling/battling with a disease or disability(severe or moderate). then don't do that to someone struggling with mental health issues(disorders or otherwise)
