Fact: in a lot of circles, there are stupid fangirls. There are a worrying amount of yaoi fangirls that loathe het and seem to hate all female characters.
Me? I just don't like het.
Maybe it's because girls do absolutely nothing for me. Possibly because I'm the faggiest fag who ever fagged (fag).
Maybe other people have other reasons.
There are plenty of pairings of all gender matchups I like, but when it comes down to the purpose of the internet [pr0nz], so sue me, I don't like het. It doesn't make me a woman-hating, evidently-self-loathing fangirl.
There are a lot of them who are morons and I want to punch them all.
There's nothing wrong with not liking yaoi, yuri, or het.
If people can only like het and not like yaoi, and we get pissed when people who don't like yaoi are unjustly called homophobes... why is everyone who just likes yaoi a woman-hating fangirl?

I like all 3, but I like yaoi and yuri more than hetero. I agree with you though, it's pretty stupid that anyone who dislikes het ships are called misogynist perverts, yet the ones who dislike yaoi or yuri are normal, clean people. I happen to like female characters in slash/male-oriented series and male characters in femslash/female-oriented series so much I'll defend them from the nuts who hate on them solely for their genders or certain ships, which is one reason I wanna deck anyone who automatically assumes slash fans are all sexist fucks who hate women( or men if it's a show with mostly girls or yuri). The funny thing is, many of the annoying hetero fans who bitched about this sort of thing have admitted they only liked said female because she's paired with their favorite male, the Sonic fandom in general and a handful of the hetero Gravitation fans on LiveJournal and Tumblr are proof of this. As for porn, I'm more comfortable with Yaoi/Yuri porn than I am with Hetero, but I'm really picky about porn in general;I like my smut like my ice cream: sweet and vanilla. I usually like het smut that involves my favorite het ships, but good, consensual pics of mine are hard to find, especially since my het ships are as rare as diamonds.
