On Being Vegetarian Stamp

DISCLAIMER: eating meat doesn't make you a better person, either. Just 'cos I know this will come up.

Again: I really don't care what you eat. I'll eat my slab of raw beef, you can have your salad, we'll get along great.

But really?
Being a vegetarian doesn't make you a better person than me.
Yeah, I eat meat. But how can you say I'm being cruel and wasteful when a lot of vegetarian stuff takes a lot more time and energy to make?

I discussed this with my brother once.
He told me that I shouldn't eat meat because it's wasteful thanks to the transfer of energy, and how we could feed people with the corn we use to feed cows, and admittedly he's right enough... but this was coming from the guy who eats bananas and oranges in the middle of a South Dakota winter. And until we learn how to teleport fruit...

That, and I'll punch the next person who berates me for killing something in order to eat.
Carrot juice constitutes murder, too.
